地理位置

Geographic Location

闵行区位于上海市地域腹部，形似一把“钥匙”。闵行地处北纬31.071度，东经121.405度。东与徐汇区、浦东新区相接；南靠黄浦江与奉贤区相望；西与松江区、青浦区接壤；北与长宁区、嘉定区毗邻；虹桥国际机场位于区境边沿。吴淞江流经北境，黄浦江纵贯南北，分区界为浦东、浦西两部分。

Minhang District, shaped like a key, lies in the heart of the Greater Shanghai area. The district is at 31.071° N and 121.405° E. It has Xuhui District and Pudong New Area in the east, the Huangpu River and Fengxian District to the south, Songjiang District and Qingpu District in the west, and Changning District and Jiading District to the north. Hongqiao International Airport is on its boundary, the Wusong River runs through its northern part, the Huangpu River goes through the district from south to north, and the boundary is divided into two parts: Pudong and Puxi.

气候条件

Climate

闵行区属北亚热带海洋性季风气候，四季分明，日照足，雨量适中，无霜期较长。主要气候特征是：春天温暖，夏天炎热，秋天凉爽，冬天阴冷，全年雨量适中，季节分配比较均匀。冬季受西伯利亚冷高压控制，盛行西北风，寒冷干燥；夏季在西太平洋副热带高压控制下，多东南风，暖热湿润；春秋是季风的转变期，多低温阴雨天气。主要气象灾害有高温、干旱、低温阴雨、台风、暴雨、雷暴、冰雹、大风、寒潮、低温等。

Minhang District has a typical north subtropical monsoon climate with westerlies system prevailing in the first half of the year and west pacific subtropical high and easterlies system in the latter half of the year. There are four distinctive seasons, enough sunshine, long frost free period, and flush precipitation that are relatively evenly distributed during the year. It is warm in spring, hot in summer, cool in autumn and wet and cold in winter. It also suffers from some extreme climate conditions such as high temperatures, drought, overcast and rainy weather with low temperatures, typhoons, torrential rains, thunderstorms, hail, gale, cold wave and low temperatures.
